About Me

Michelle Johnson is the former owner of an experience-based business in south Durham and started Next Level Local to bridge a gap between do-it-yourself marketing (while operating a storefront) and expensive marketing agencies that break the bank. After meeting several other small business owners, she found she wasn't the only one struggling to get basic support that was affordable and effective. 

In addition to business ownership, Michelle did MBA recruiting, managed events at a local church and provided marketing support to a law firm. She has been married since 2000 and has two children. In her spare time she likes to host events, volunteer with a local women's group, travel and dabble in interior design. Being of Filipino descent, she enjoys Asian food and loves handbags!
